Small or Mixed Practice Animal opportunity in the Barossa Valley, South Australia
If you love great medicine and great people, come join us at Barossa Veterinary Service — a collaborative, forward-thinking and award-winning mixed practice with a small animal focus in one of Australia's most beautiful regions.
We're a family-owned, values-driven team that believes preventative care is the heart of what we do, while all the other stuff is the sauce that makes it fun. We celebrate wins (big and small), have each other's backs, and never work on our birthdays.
What makes us… us:

- Quarterly wellness days, EAP + Lincoln Leadership accredited culture
- Stress Free Pet accredited — and we’ll support you to get accredited too
- Dedicated AVNAT accredited nurse team and excellent support ratios
- Membership-level vets and an AVA Chartered Vet leading the way in medicine, surgery and imaging
- Niche roles to explore your passion — dentistry, imaging, surgery, medicine, or something new!
- Engaged and trained leadership team with years of experience and dedication to team care, including MHFA and coaching
- A brand-new hospital build in progress (designed around client and patient experience) with completion June 2026.
Why you’ll love it here:
- We’re big on quality, communication and curiosity — not quick fixes.
- You’ll have the toys and the time to work up cases properly.
- You’ll work alongside a genuinely kind, smart, funny team who look after one another.
Who we’re looking for:
- Hungry for a challenge, personal growth and to be part of something great
- Humble to recognise the significance of their role and contribution to the team
- Humorous because no one ever died laughing and it’s the best medicine
